When I first unboxed my Trézor hardware wallet, it felt small but very powerful. I wasn’t sure how to begin safely, and that’s when I found Trézor.io/start — the official starting point for setting up your Trézor wallet

This guide will take you step by step, in simple language, so anyone can get started safely, even without much technical experience.

What Is Trézor.io/start?

Trézor.io/start is the official setup page for all Trézor hardware wallets, including Trézor Model T and Trézor One.

It helps you:

Download Trézor Suite, the official management app
Set up or recover your wallet
Install cryptocurrency apps
Secure your funds

Using Trézor.io/start ensures you follow official instructions and avoid fake apps or scams.

Step 1: Visit Trézor.io/start

Open your browser and type Trézor.io/start. Double-check the spelling — fake sites exist that may try to steal your recovery phrase.

Once the page loads, select your device model. The instructions adapt depending on whether you have a Trézor Model T or Trézor One.

Step 2: Download Trézor Suite

The page will guide you to download Trézor Suite, the official app for managing all your crypto.

Step 3: Install Trézor Suite

After downloading, install Trézor Suite following your system instructions. Open the app and click Get Started.

Step 4: Set Up Your Trézor Device

Your Trézor device will guide you to:

Create a PIN code
Generate a recovery phrase

The PIN code protects your crypto if your device is lost or stolen.

The recovery phrase, usually 12–24 words, is the only way to recover your wallet if the device is lost or damaged.

Important:

Write the words on paper
Keep them offline in a safe place
Never take a photo or store digitally
Never share with anyone

Confirm the words on your device to complete setup.

Step 5: Install Cryptocurrency Apps

In Trézor Suite, go to the Manager section to install apps for the cryptocurrencies you want to manage, such as:

Bitcoin
Ethereum

Tezos

Installing apps allows your Trézor device to connect securely to each coin’s blockchain.

Step 6: Add Accounts

Go to the Accounts tab in Trézor Suite. Click Add Account and choose the cryptocurrency. Your device will sync and show your balances.

Every transaction must be confirmed on your Trézor device to keep your private keys offline.

Step 7: Send and Receive Crypto

When receiving crypto, verify the address on your Trézor device. When sending, confirm the amount and recipient on the device.
